can't send or receive

Old Dog Learning New Tricks

H E L P!!

When I try to send/receive a message in Outlook XP, I get the following
error message: "You don't have appropriate permission to perform this
operation"

I've re-installed outlook twice and I still get the above error message.

Outlook express will send/receive with same e-mail setting I used for
Outlook XP.

Anyone have any ideas as how to correct the problem?
