After installing Office 2003 Pro, I cannot send/receive
email in Outlook 2003. I am using Windows 2000 OS, updated
regularly. I have a Linksys router, dsl modem and McAfee
viris scan with firewall, also regularly updated.
I have done everything I can find to do at support:
Have uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook 2003
Have used detect and repair function at Add/Remove Programs
Have changed profile at Control Panel - Mail
Have changed profile in Outlook 2003
Have renamed file outcmd.dat to outcmd.old
Have confirmed ISP server settings are correct
Rebooted after every fix attempt.
Can access email at ISP web server
Can access internet
Have not installed any other programs since installed
Office 2003 Pro
Still cannot send or receive email in Outlook 2003
Error message Task 'pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com - Receiving"
reported error (0x8004210A): 'The operation timed out
waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server. If
you continue to receive this message, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)'
I checked with ISP - All Ok. They say problem is with
Outlook 2003
Any fixes?
