cant set appts. in Outlook. "form reqd to view message cannot be

when i tried to enter a new appointment in Outlook, a box opened saying: "The
form required to view the message cannot be displayed. Contact your
administrator." I am the administrator!! What is this, and how do i make it
stop??? Help, i can't update my calendar!!
