Hi ... I've built an ERD using the Database Model Diagram
in Visio 2000 service pack 1, rel. 6.0.2072.
I've created 85 relationships so far by dragging the
Relationship tool and highlighting the parent and child
entities, as documented in Help.
All of a sudden, Visio "decided" to not allow me to define
any more relationships - now when I attempt to do so the
entity does not highlight when I drag the end of the
Relationship tool over it (parent or child, it doesn't
matter). Basically the model just "sits there" - no error
message, nothing.
I tested to see if I hit a maximum, and I didn't - if I
delete a relationship, which should get me "one under"
that hypothetical max, Visio doesn't let me re-create it.
Only recourse right now is to delete the relationship
connector that isn't relating anything and call for help -
which I'm doing here.
What's going on? Did I accidentally change some global
setting? Bug that's fixed in a later release? Gremlins in
the machine? Any help you could provide would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.
