Can't set up database password

I create an Access database and program that are splited,
and I just set a database password on the database.mdb
and try to open the program.mdb which use the table that
linked to databse.mdb, it always results in error "3031
Invalid password"... please help and tell me what's the
steps that i'm missing

Generally a password on a database is not good, since it can be easily
forgotten. Once you forget it, you will loose access to your database
forever. Microsoft can't recover for you. Wherever, you set the password, I
would take it off. Hopefully, you haven't prevented yourself from opening
the database. Look into setting User Level Security, not database password
security.
