can't setup my account

I'm at work trying to set up my Outlook account but I keep getting the
username/password box pop up after I make my account. Here's whats happening:
I'm selecting POP3 --> setting incoming mail server (POP3)/outgoing(SMTP) as
the same, typing in my name, email address, user name, and password. Then I
click more settings-->Advanced--> Incoming server (POP3) = 110 and Outgoing
server (SMTP) = 587.

When I go to test settings I type in my User Name and Password but the box
just pops up again in 10 seconds. Why isn't it accepting my password? I can't
send mail or anything. It works for everyone else here at work so it's not
the server isn't working.

I'm getting this message after I click test settings: "Log onto incoming
mail server (POP3): Outlook could not connect to the incoming POP3 mail
server because the server did not accept your user name or password"

So what email service are you trying to set up that uses port 587 for the
smtp server?

My company has it's own email domain. For privacy, I won't type out the
company name, I'll just use ****

It's mail.****.com

How are you connecting? Does your ISP (if independent from your company)
allow third-party smtp servers?

I would assume so. Everyone at work is able to connect except me. We can't
figure out the problem. I thought the issue was that my account on Windows XP
wasn't an administator account. I changed it to administrator and at least
now I was able to view my mail but still not able to send because I was
getting the user name / password box that kept on popping up. Just curious,
what user name / password is supposed to go into that box. Is it MY user name
/ password that I created with the new outlook account, OR is it a network
user name / password?

Network Username and password

I am sure your mail username and password on the mail server are the
same as your log in settings.
