i'm currently running Access 2000. i wanted to be able share data among
multiple users instead of making copies of the same database on every pc. i
made a Access database on computer A that only has tables. These tables are
linked to Access databases on computers B and C that only contain queries and
reports. If only computer B or C runs a query, there is no problem. But if
B has a query open and then C tries to run a query, the following message
displays:
The database engine could not lock table 'XXXXX' because it is already in
use by another person or process.
The default open mode is set at Shared and record locking is not enabled.
Am i missing something?
Somebody please help. Thank you.
