Cant size columns?

Hi I am using XL 2003 and just rec'd a big spreadsheet that does not allow
resizing the columns. This option appears grayed out from the menu and when
hovering over the header of the column, it never turns into the icon that
allows resizing. Any ideas how I can change this setting to allow it?

Sound like the sender has protected the worksheet and/or the workbook. Try
Tools|Protection... but if she used a password you are out of luck.
