can't stop email

This is puzzling. I have both my old and new computers up and running for a
few days until I'm confident I have all I need from the old computer
(running win98). I deleted all my email accounts on my old commuter, which
like my new one (running XP) uses Outlook 2000 v.9.0.0.6627. But I still
get email coming through my old computer. (I guess I could disconnect it
from the Internet but I'm curious about this phenomenon.)

My old computer must remain on, as I'm having video card problems that makes
booting up problematic. This morning, I turned my new computer on; Outlook
automatically checks for messages and found none. Then I went to my old
computer, opened Outlook and found several messages waiting for me.

How is it picking up messages if I deleted my old accounts. I'm also able
to send messages from the old computer, as that's how I transferred the
messages I needed to my new computer.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Well, here's something strange I just noticed . I used the same discs that
I used to load the program on my old computer years ago and on the new one
last week. Yet, on my old computer they're under tools as "services, but on
my new computer, they're called "accounts." But they're both Outlook 2000
v.9.0.0.6627. And yes, that's how I deleted them. I thought.
