I upgraded from Microsoft Office 2000 to Office XP Professional and ever
since have been having a problem with duplicate emails in Outlook 2002.
I used the Office Update tool as well as manually updating to insure that I
have downloaded and installed every available update and/or patch.
I removed the rules that had existed in Office 2000 that moved emails from a
specified sender to a specified folder and then made new rules to do the same
thing.
I unchecked leaving a copy of the messages on the server, ran send and
receive, and then rechecked, because I need to leave a copy so that I can
retrieve it on my home computer.
I paid for and ran Duplicate Email Remover from MAPILAB to identify and
delete the duplicates.
I also downloaded the ScanPST tool and ran it. It found that the .pst file
was corrupted and it repaired it.
I then ran backup to backup the pst file and restored it to Outlook.
After all of this I still receive duplicate emails. It happens without a
pattern that I can identify. All emails are not sent as duplicates and the
duplicates don't come from the same source every time.
Please help!
Thanking anyone in advance,
Sonny Martin
