Cant sync Appointments and contacts

tried to fix the problem by installing trial version of Office 2007
I clicked uninstall Office 2003
during set up get the message: Sovftware exception OX40000015 location
OX7813461a

I have a problem with Outlook 2003...it will not allow active sync to synce
Contacts are appointments...when I open Outlook I get the error message
"Active X component can't create object
