can't type

When I try to type it says "This modification is not allowed because the
selection is locked".. How do i unlock??

This sounds like a trial version of Word which has now expired - that being
the case, you will have to buy the product.

I am having the same problem. I purchased my laptop 4 days ago and just did
the install of the 60 day trial. I keep the message that everyone else is
getting, and when I go to the resources, it says it is activated and will
expire January 31, 2008.
It just started doing that this morning. Help, I have got to get these
documents done!
