Can't unprotect shared worksheet?

Hi,

I turned on sharing in a workbook for the exclusive purpose of being able to
track all my changes. Now I can't seem to unprotect the protected worksheet
in it in order to do a Replace--the menu choice is grayed out. What can I
do?

Never mind. I finally found the relevant section of Excel help, and
apparently there is no workaround for this. That's pretty lame.
