Cant update 10.1.4 and 10.1.5

I have updated to 10.1.2 sucessfully. But When I try 10.1.4 It tells me it
cannot locate office x. And a finder pops up asking me to choose
Microsoft comp. plugin from trash or hard drive. I have read to trash
the plugin and repair permissions. I have done this repeatedly. The
microsoft site has no other help that I can find.
Please, if anyone knows how to install these let me know...Thanks

You should install Office in either the root Applications folder or the
User's Application folder.

I suggest you use "Remove Office" and install Office X from the CD and then
apply updates. You should have no trouble then.

"Remove Office" is located in the Value Pack folder on the Office X CD.
You'll need your CD key when you install.

Apply these updaters:

Office 10.1.2
Office 10.1.4
Office 10.1.5

Let me know if you continue to have problems.

Have you tried emptying the Trash before updating? Under OSX many
file dependencied remain until the files are actually deleted.
