Help, I'm dead in the water. I just purchased a new iPaq
which came with Outlook 2002 on the installation disk.
When I try to upgrade to it from my current 2000
installation, I get the following error: "another version
of this product is already installed. Installation of this
version cannot continue. To configure or remove the
existing version of this product, use add/remove programs
on the control panel." So, I uninstalled 2000 but I still
get the same error message. I backed up my .pst file and
deleted anything with the word "outlook" in it and still
no luck. In desperation, I used Microsoft's registry
clean utility, just in case the install program was seeing
something Outlook-related in there. I called HP (the
maker of the iPaq) and they said I need to reinstall
Windows (98, by the way). I'd rather not do this if I
don't have to. Currently, I can't reinstall the 2000
version because all of my CD's are in storage for a few
more months.
Thanks in advance for your help. Feel free to call me, if
that's easier (480-241-2639).
