Can't Upgrade to SP3 from Office 2000 SP1 or SP2

I've done a fresh install of XP SP2 on my computer and now I'm trying to load
in all my software. I have Office 2000 so I installed office 2000, then I
downloaded the SP1a update that is required next.
I then attempted to install SP3 and it says 'expected version not found' and
aborts the install.

I then removed Office 2000 from my computer, reinstalled it. Then installed
1a then installed SP2. Then attempted SP3 and got the same error.
I did go to Add/Remove programs and in this screen my install is called
Office 2000 - SR-1. This should be enought to work.

Any suggestions?

Try using the full-file (administrative) update:
