cant use controls - excel crashes

button or other element from control toolbox created in
spreadsheet - use right mouse button to view properties
or code - no properties or code is displayed - application
freeze - within taskmanager excel.exe is using increasing
memory - only killing task helps (behavior excel and
winword is the same).

Does new installation help?

office XP small business edition

Find your windows\temp folder and remove all .emf files.
