## can't use Custom Dictionary ##

W

Wai

Product: MS Word 2002 (English version)

I add a command in "tools | customize | command | all
commands | Toolsdictionary"
When you drag it out, its name will change
into "Dictionary"

It is used to deal with custom dictionaries (as Word says)

Again I tried to press it, but no response.
What's wrong?

1. How can I use it?

Alternatively,
2. How can I create, edit, delete custom
dictionaries ""of different languages"" [each custom
dictionary is language-specific, isn't it?] ?
3. How can I eidt AutoCorrect entries ""of different
languages""?

[Please tell me step-by-step if possible, thanks !!]

Thank you very much for your attention and answers.

Hi Wai,

To create or modify a custom dictionary then go to
Tools/Options/Spelling and Grammar and click the "Custom Dictionaries"
command. There you will be able to create a new dictionary and
associate it with a specific language.

For AutoCorrect entries, the AutoCorrect list found under
Tools/AutoCorrect Options will change according to the language in
use.

Is there any effective way to edit and transfer entries
between Autocorrect and custom dictionary entries?

I would like to transfer from one lang to another.
Or do you know where they are located, so maybe I can
open it by notepad and use copy-and-paste method to make
transfer.

Thanks!!

They are different entities. See response to your post on other NG.
