can't use linked table manager in 2003

When I try to use the linked table manager in Access 2003, no tables show
up. I open the same file with 2002 and they're there.

I also have trouble in both versions if the path and file name is over about
60 characters. I can't expand the linked table manager window or scroll to
see the entire file name.
