Can't use mouse cursor on document, please help?

The mouse cursor in the document window has frozen for some reason. It
happened after I downloaded the APA Style Template from Microsoft Office
help. I can still access the toolbar and menu bar, but the document
scrollbar, preferences, and editing or formatting text is totally disabled.
It's not just with the template... it's any document I open, and I think the
root cause was after I downloaded the APA Template.dotx file in Office Word
2007 Online help.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated to fix this, or explain how and why it
happened. A good thing about is though is that I have to figure out how to
use the shortcuts.
