Can't use the Outlook "Insert Item" since I installe Bus.Cont.Mngr

Since a while I can't use the "insert item' menu, because it is shaded out. I
do not use Word as my email editor. The only change was that I installed the
Outlook Business Contact Manager, and got the latest updates.
I am open to any ideas how to solve this.
