Can't View Calendar Appointments

D

David

We recently upgraded from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000.
One employee can't view appointments in one of the
calendars we set up for all employees to use. I blew
away her mail profile and recreated it on her machine and
I re-installed Outlook on her machine. Exchange 2000 is
running on a 2000 Server box and the client machine is
running XP sp1 and Outlook 2000 sp3. Any suggestions
would be appreciated.

Thanks.

What are her permissions on the calendar she is trying to view? She needs to
have at least the Reviewer role.

It is set up as a public calendar so everyone can view
it. I went into the system manager on the exchange
server added her as a reviewer of the calendar, even
though that is not actually necessary since it is set up
for anonymous reviewing. Which basically means any user
in our domain can access the calendar. The only time you
need to specify a user is if you want to give them editor
rights and such.

I was curious what specific permissions had been granted. Make sure you are
clicking the "Client Permissions" button under the Permissions tab in ESM to
grant client permissions.

Thanks Megan, that is exactly what I was trying.
Coincidently, someone else posted a message today having
the same problem. Using the info in his message, I had
the problem user try accessing the calendar through
Outlook Web Access, and she can see meetings there.

How strange is that?? Any other suggestions will continue
to be appreciated.

Does she receive an error message when trying to view the calendar via
Outlook?
