Dee,

it appears that you have been assigned to a task that has become corrupted.
You will need to find out which task you have been assigned to and unassign
you from this task.

Once identified and unassigned, you should be able to have access to My
Tasks again. After this you may want to create an extra Task that you can be
assigned to on this particular project.

Somewhere in the DB is a corruption and the "My task" web part doesnt like
this. To be honest, I only discovered this last week as well and at this
stage I believe that there is somewhere a bug in the system. I also
understand that this is not a fix, but more a work arround. Once I have found
a better way to deal with it, I will share with you.

Hope this helps

Marc,
very interesting things about corrupted task! Where you met with its?
In PS2003, or PS2007? How have been corrupted these tasks?

I am using PWA and and this is still the same.. the problem is that the task
list needs to be pruned and this actually efforts time sheets and scheudles

is there any reasons how and why the task db is getting corrupted - what is
the root cause of such a defect so that we can ensure that we don't do
anything which can trigger the defect !!

Guys:

I've had this problem in our production instance, and I don't think it had
anything to do with user error as it happened to me during a publish
operation after ajusting assignments on a plan. I suspect that Marc is
correct and this is a result of a system bug. I didn't do anything odd or
unusual and I was working with very simple plans. Unfortunatley, it's not an
easily reproducable sypmtom.

Hi PMax,

this problem occurs in PS2007. Unfortunatly I dont know how the task becomes
corrupted. I have had this problem with 2 projects, one beeing simple, the
other beein more complex. It was more coincidance that I discovered how to
rectify this issue.
I am in the process of trying to re-produce the issue. That will ensure that
it is actually a bug in the system.

I will keep you posted.
