Can't view number of risk in risk summary

Hi there,

I encountered a problem where I can't see the number of risk in risk
summary (it shows as active:0, postponed:0, closed:0). Although I have
over 20 something risks which are all active. I notice that this case
only happens if I added a custom field / colum, otherwise it will show
in risk summary.

I also tried to leave the custom column / field blank but the result
is the same. Is there someting wrong with the sharepoint site
configuration or something? Please advise.

Regards,
Jack

This usually happens as a result of changing the status values in the custom
web part. Can you give the specific steps to reproduce? If so, I can try to
duplicate it, and then report it if it's a bug.

Hi Gary,

Can you please elaborate more on "changing the status values in the
custom
web part"

This is how I got the error:
1. Enter risk page of the problematic project.Let's say the project
name is "A"
2. Crete a new column for project A. Column "risk type"
3. Enter a new risk for Project A
From here I entered 2 scenario
4a) Filling in risk details EXCEPT "risk type". The title is "risk A"
4b) Filling in risk details without exception. The title is "risk B"
5) Able to view those 2 risks on the risk page
6) Go to risk summary page. active:0.postponed:0.closed:0

This was exactly the same steps which I did.

In eachriskand issue there is a status field with the values (1) Active,
(2) Postponed and (3) Closed. If you change these values, you break the
connection.

Hi Gary,

I am sure that the status field with the values (1) Active,
(2) Postponed and (3) Closed were not changed. Is is possible some other fields cause this?

Jack

Did you do any customizations on the custom web part? I suspect this could
cause a problem, but the one we typically see is related to changing the
status field. Some other DB read error could cause this, whether or not it's
related to changing the custom web part, or some other failure.

Hmm, I have not double check-ed but possibly there are some projects
changed the status fields and can't be shown. So, as you said this
might caused the problem. I will double-checked and update you. Thanks
Gary.
