can't view objects placed on document

I have used clip art and it worked fine. Now when I add it to my document it
doesn't show on the page. It shows up on Print Preview only. I also can't
enter bullets inside a frame that I have gotten from clip art. The bullets
show up only in Print Preview also. What am I doing diffent now than before?
