Can't view pictures in email in outlook 2007

Up until about 3 days ago I was able to view pictures within my incoming
email. Now, I get empty white squares. I don't get the little red "x", nor
do I get a "download bar" above the screen. I've check the trusted sites
(the "don't download..." is unchecked. I've exhaused the options I know to
do. Can anyone let me know maybe what happened and how I can fix it?

I'm having the same problem; it started around the same time.

I've got a tech working on it but he hasn't found anything yet.

I have had almost the same problem as you have described, including the fact
that it appeared abruptly recently, and that so far I have received no
responses to my earlier posting in this forum.

Is it possible that without our knowledge there has been some automatic
update recently that has converted Outlook 2007 to this more secure but less
configurable mode of operation?

Please, folks, if you have any ideas about what is going on here, speak up!
