Can't view pictures or graphics when sending or receiving in email

Outlook 2007. Was experimenting with attaching pcitures inside an email and
somehow now I can not view any pictures inside outgoing or coming in emails.
This includes the text or logo information inside business cards, and
anything else in a box that comes in your email. Example, emails like from
ticketmaster with upcoming concerts, all the pics are gone. However, when I
send the recipient can see my business card content, etc. One more thing...
also if I right click on where I insert the picture or where my business card
is at the very top middle, I can view the picture as long as I keep the mouse
right clicked down. How funky is that? I've gone through clearing filters,
allowing downloads in the trusted area. I'm at a loss. Can you offer up any
suggestions? The only thing I can think of is finding out how to restore
original outlook settings, and I can't locate how to do that either. Thank
you.

thank you Chris, but this doesn't help. I did manage to get the outlook
business cards that I send and receive to show back up inside their
respective boxes, as well as pics that I send inside an email to show up, but
I haven't managed to get pictures inside email flyers such as from a place
like ticketmaster, lowes, pet edge, any pics inside emails from constant
contact, etc. to show up. How I managed to get the business cards and photos
inserted inside an email to go to the Office Button inside a new email, then
click on the "editor options" button on the bottom right side, then click on
"advanced", then scroll to email options and then uncheck the "show placecard
holder". Evidently when you ask check the placecard holder it enables you to
be able to scroll through emails faster because it shows a blank box instead
of what's inside.
I still have to figure out how to get pictures back inside the flyers I
recieve. Grrrr None of this is about getting a red X. It is about nothing
coming through at all. Thank you so much. :)

I cannot open picures and graphics that are embedded in the body of an email. Some people can right click on the little x in the upper lefthand corner of the picure or graphics frame and get a dropdown menu with "download pictures" as an option, but when I do this "download pictures" is not one of my options.

Why are you hijacking someone else's thread, especially from 2009?
Another DeadHead EggHead that doesn't know how to use a newsgroup.
