Can't view thumbnails

I can't view my photos in thumbnail view in Office 2k on a Win 2k machine.
How can I correct this?

When I open Explorer and open the folder that contains my photos I can't

This sounds like a Windows 2000 issue rather than one for Office. It's also
possible that all of your images are of a format (or use a compression
codec) not supported by your Windows version. Posting to the appropriate
Windows newsgroup would be more appropriate. Indicating the image types and
what is shown in place of the thumbnails would also assist diagnosis.
