We are investigating using Visio as a drawing tool. One of our clients, a
counter top manufacturer, has asked us to look into a drawing tool for
product design, pricing and manufacturing.
Initially the drawing requirements would be very simple, as compared to a
full implementation of CAD. We envision a very simple template with about
five base shapes such as a U, rectangle, square, etc. The base shape(s), one
or in combination, are dragged onto a workspace. The user then drops and
drags the objects to get the dimensions, or completes a prosperities page.
The properties would be dimensions, as well as other important attributes
such as color, style, trim, backsplash, etc.
The properites are passed to MSSQL tables.
The application will eventually be web based.
The preferred solution would be able to integrate with a .net C# application.
The application would work with Sharepoint.
Can Visio support these requirements?
