Capital I

B

Beth

We have a professor who when he types any word beginning
with the letter I, it automatically capitalizes it. It
doesn't have that pause and then correcting when the usual
autocorrect comes into play. It just automatically types
a capital I. Not within a word, only at the beginning of
words that begin with I. SOS! Word 2002

Beth,

You need to disable the Capitalize the first letter of
sentence option. Click...

Tools | AutoCorrect | AutoCorrect: and clear the box
Capitalize first letter of sentences.

Beth:

This is an "autocorrect" feature. Go to Tools and use the
drop down menu to control auto correct options. You can
define whether you want all "i" words capitalized or not.
