Capitalise first letter

Hi there.
A really simple one, I'm sure. How can I set up a table in Access so that it capitalises the first letter of a word enters, so that a surname, say "smith", when entered becomes "Smith"

I'd suggest that you not enter data directly into a table. Access tables
store data, Access forms display (and allow data entry).

And forms have events that can trigger and run code.

(Either way, consider the Format and Input Mask properties - the former
controls appearance, the latter, actual data stored.)

I thought I had to set the format for the form though in the table. How can I do it in a form then?

Thanks,

John

Open a form in design mode. Select the control, click properties. There's
a Format property listed.
