Capitalization

I downloaded names and addrress of business owners into a
excel spreadsheet for a stock broker who is trying to
recruit new clients. The problem is the names and address
are completely capitalized which is not what we want when
we merge the data into our letters and envelopes that will
be sent out to possible future clients. Is there any way
to change the cells so they are not completely
capitalized. If anyone can help that would be great.

Tony,

One way is to create a new column next to your names. Then, in
that column, enter =PROPER(A1) where A1 is the first cell with the
names. Then, copy this formula down as far as you need to go.
Next, select the cells with the formulas, copy them, and then use
Paste Special with the Values option from the Edit menu to paste
the proper text back over the original names.
