You might try using the SoundSentry options to give yourself a visual
warning as well. I know that when I turn on the capslock toggle thing, the
warning sound is so faint I can't hear it on many systems. (I believe it
uses the sound card, not your speakers. And unfortunately, when I tried just
now, I wasn't able to figure out how to make it louder.)

For example, if you turn on "flash active caption bar" in the SoundSentry,
the application you're working in will flash on the taskbar when you hit the
capslock key. "Flash active window" and "flash desktop" work pretty much the
same here, causing my whole screen to blink once quickly.

Thank you for your reply but as I said, I tried the accessibility options but
they had no effect.

Thank you. I have done as you suggested. A sound would be better as I am
NOT a touch typer and by the time I look up from the keyboard the damage is
done if I have accidently hit the Caps Lock key.
