When inserting a caption, after the Figure number, I enter a space then the description. The Table of Contents aligns the Chapter number with a tab afterward:
Chapter 1 (tab) Title
Chapter 2 (tab) Title
etc...
so that the Title "column" aligns, and it looks clean. (I am creating a web document, so don't need page numbers, just hyperlinks.)
Because I use a "space" after the figure/table number when inserting a caption, in my TOF, the alignment doesn't occur as above... instead:
Figure 2-1 Description
Table 2-1 Description
Figre 2-21 Description
When I try to use a tab within the caption (after the figure number), although it fixes the above problem, because the figures and tables are centered, each caption looks really bad.
Does anyone have a workaround suggestion?
TIA!
Jill.
