Hi all
I tryed this in another group to no avail.
Hope someone here has some ideas.
I have two problems, and I don't know if they may be related or not.
I have been adding captions to my drawings such as
Figure 1.1 - this is blah blah
Figure 1.2 - This is also a blah blah
etc..
To do this, I select the drawing then insert -> reference -> caption.
The caption is placed below the drawing. No lines around it or
anything, looks nice.
Then, not sure what happened here but, I had a caption
Figure 4.5 - This is another blah
under a drawing.
I removed the drawing and (I think, dont remember now) removed the
caption. At any rate, the caption was also gone. So far OK.
THEN, I added a drawing back into the same location. When I went to
add the caption this time, 2 strange things happened.
1) It added it at the bottom of the drawing AND placed it in a text
box that could be seen for entire width of the drawing. Strange, but I
changed the textbox so it had no outline line. BUT,
2) When the add Caption dialog box was open it had the correct number
"Figure 4.5" showing the number as it would be displayed. I added my
text
- blah blah
but when I clicked OK, it added the caption as Figure 4.6 - blah blah
not 4.5 - blah blah
Well, I have lost 4.5. If adding a reference to this figure it shows
up in the list of Figures as
....
4.3 - blah blah
4.4 - blah blah
4.6
4.5 isnt there and the text after 4.6 doesnt show up in the list.
Is this a lost 4.5 broken or what?
I tryed removing the drawing to see if I could find a lost 4.5 caption
hiding somewhere, but to no avail.
Phew, thanks
Jeff
