captions

I'm using Word 2000. When I use the insert caption command
when a figure is selected the caption appears below the
figure. This is good, but when I move the figure the
caption doesn't move with it. To get it to move together
with the figure I grouped figure and caption. This works
but now the counting mechanism for the figure numbers
doesn't work anymore. Update fields leads to "Figure 0".
Does anybody know how to get them to move together and
count correctly?

Thanks,

The easiest solution is to move both the graphic and the caption at the same
time. To do this you must select them both and then move them. Try the
following
1. Move the pointer to the left of the graphic until the pointer turns into
a right-pointing arrow
2. Click and drag down until you have selected both the graphic and the
caption
3. Release the left mouse button
4. Click the selected graphic and text and drag both of them at the same
time to the desired location.
5. Release the left mouse button
