Capturing a numbered heading

Hi all:

Is it possible to capture a numbered heading for reference in another
part of the document? I have a manual, and want to add the text "refer
to section 3.4.4", where the number "3.4.4" was generated using word
2003's outline numbering system (which was finally tamed by listening
to the people in this group - thanks to all MVPs and Shauna Kelley's
excellent reference material!). I have searched in the field codes for
a field that would provide this info - am I missing something obvious?

Try Insert | Reference, Cross-Reference to a numbered item.

As always, hats off to you, Daiya, and all the others who assist us in
solving our MS Wrod problems. Worked like a charm - my only gripe is
that the help system should be able to point me in the right (write?)
direction, but it never seems to... Thanks again!
