capturing a signature

Has anyone every captured a signature into a field? I will be working with
this for the first time and not sure if it will work or not. First of all,
I'll be using a tablet of some kind, where the user can sign and I want that
to be saved into a field. I'm thinking it may need to be an OLE object. Any
ideas?

You can store an image. Depending on how much you want to automate the
process, it can be simple or not. If there are a few users and each will be
entering their signature once, then let them scan the signature to an image
and then insert that image to an ole field.

The user instructions are pretty simple:
1. Right-click the image field and choose "Insert Object".
2. Choose "Create from file" and click the Browse button to select the
appropriate image file.

If it's a volume operation where you're scanning credit card slips, then you
need to get more involved with automating the hardware.
