capturing addresses by state

I'd like to capture all my addresses for two states. I've tried using
the initials for the states, i.e. OR and WA. Not good enough. Then, I
tried sorting by state and part of zip code, i.e. ,OR 9 and ,WA 9

Still no luck Would appreciate help with this. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried "Filtering" your view using the "State" field?

What version of Outlook do you use?

In fact, you could use the "Phone List" view
Right-click the Gray Title bar
Select FIELD CHOOSER
Select STATE and Drag and Drop it onto the title bar

Then just click on the STATE field and your contacts
will sort by state.

Nikki, I'm working with XP. Unclear how I can get the list by going t
the phone list. The states are entered by their abbreviations, ie OR
WA, NC

Outlook is choosing every word with 'or' or 'wa' in the address.

any further suggestions would be appreciated

OK, Nikki, I found the 'field chooser' and yes, this worked. I want t
print a mail merge address list from this list. That's why I wanted t
sort them...suggestions for that? thanks
