Hi all,

What is the best way of capturing material costs such as travel
expenses and allowance, paper costs etc in project server 2003 ?

You have a couple of choices:

1. Your Project Server administrator can create Material resources in the
Enterprise Resource Pool, representing consumable items such supplies.
2. You can use the Fixed Cost column in the task Cost table to track other
types of expenses, such as travel expenses.

Perhaps you might use a combination of the two above choices. If you
eventually move to Project Server 2007, the system offers a new type of
resource called a Cost resource that would solve your problem completely.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale. what are the steps i need to take to accomplish the
options you gave above? My resources are provided by Active directory,
but i dont have a clue on how to add material cost to my projects.
When i tried a received an error message that enterprise global
template will override an changes when i reopen the project.

Thanks
