capturing video and voice

I'd like to create a video file that shows my actions on my screen, along
with my voice. Is there a way to configure ON to capture video from my
screen (as opposed to a camera) and get my voice at the same time? If not,
anyone know of a 3rd party product which is cheap (or a creative suggestion
on how to use current windows components to accomplish the same) that could
do the video capture and dictation at the same time? Not looking for fancy.
Just trying to be creative with how to communicate to people that I send my
notes on documents to. I'm trying to avoid having to type lengthy
"explanation" emails, and using video and audio to show what I've done. Thx
for any interesting thoughts.

Look into Hypercam (www.hyperionics.com) - it's designed to do just what you
described. You can download a trial version to try it out. I'm pretty sure
that OneNote video options don't include screen capture...yet! ;)

Sorry, missed this post earlier. You might want to look into Camtasia
Studio from the folks at http://www.techsmith.com/ . They also have SnagIt,
which I use all the time, along with the Camtasia program which will record,
edit and publish multimedia results very easily. The learning curve is
pretty easy, too.

Unfortunately, Camtasia is not cheap...but having used cheaper programs, I
would say that it is well worth the cost. Much more capable and very easy to
use.
