cascading style sheets

I am trying to use a cascading style sheet to reduce the html code on my
pages. When I tell the program to apply the style sheet to the pages and I
look back at the html code, I have the meta tags for theme and border in
addition to the link to the stylesheet. Is that right? It seems the meta tags
for theme and border should not be there?
Also, should there be a stylesheet link to the stylesheet I created plus a
stylesheet lik to a Microsoft template? That's the only stylesheet link it
offers me for some pages.
My help on my program is not available for some information for some reason.
It keeps telling me something about not being able to "run scripts".

Thanks so much if you can help. I've spent an awful lot of time on this.

You would have to remove the theme, the shared border component does not use CSS.

I don't understand. What do you mean by "remove the theme?" Do you mean from
each page? If so, I have removed the theme from each page, but when I try to
put back my stylesheet I select themes and I check the box that says "apply
as cascading style sheet" it adds the theme meta tags back again to each page.

The theme has it's own CSS file, so if you don't want the extra theme CSS file links or theme tags
in your pages, you have to remove the theme from your site.

Sorry, Thomas. I am not following you exactly.

The theme has it's own CSS file, so if you don't want the extra theme CSS file links or theme tags
in your pages, you have to remove the theme from your site.

When I apply the theme using CSS, I go to FORMAT and chose theme, I select
the theme I want and check the box that says "apply using css." Then how do I
"remove the theme from your site" as you suggested?

Your original issue was that you though by using your own CSS file, that you shouldn't see the meta
tag for themes and shared borders, correct? If so then the only way to not see them, is to not use
either of these functions/features within your site. To remove a theme, make sure it is set as the
set default, then select None.
