Cashflow

Andrew

I am trying to create a simple cashflow for a construction proogramme. I have
elemenatal costs only, ie substructure, superstructure, finishes etc... I
have a detailed construction programme. I have tried to copy the fields to
excel so that I can obtain the workdays in each element, with th thoght of
allocating the elemental cost divided by the workdays as a fixed cost to a
resource which I can then allocate to each activity. The first question is
when I copy the duration field it comes up as dys.in excel I cannot seem to
autosum these values, is there a way of translating the field to a number.
The second question is am I wasting my time with this method and is there an
easier way, I want to use MSp for this purpose and not use a different pice
of software.

Looking forward to any assistance in this

Regards

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Wy not use the task's fixed cost field to enter the task costs.. no need to
go to artificial resource costs!

BTW to see duration without the days use a number field and the formula
=[Duration]/ [Minutes per Day]

The minutes per day field for the formula is to be found in Fields, Project,
Number.
