Catastophic Failure

Can someone please help me i am constantly getting an error everytime i open
up my excel workbook. Every time it reads "System Error &H8000FFFF
(-2147418113) Catastrophic Failure." Can someone please help me understand
what is going on.

One particular workbook or any saved workbook?

How about new workbook?

What version of Excel are you opening with?

What version were the workbooks originally created in?

I'm not sure if any of these questions are relevant, just getting as much
info as possible.
