I am using Outlook 2003 on an exchange server. I recently created categories
and rules for incoming emails. I have 2 issues:
1) Some of my emails are "duplicating" into 2 or more categories. In process
the rules I selected "Stop processing more rules". However, I receive the
message "The rule has a condition that the server can't process." I also
receive the message "This rule is a client-only rule, and will process only
when Outlook is running". I showed my adminsitrator the problem and messages
but he can't figure it out.
2) I recently gained access to my bosses email. She too is on Outlook 2003
on exchange server. I do not open a separate profile to access her email. I
file/open/other user's folder. The problem now is the emails I receive are
being put into categories that she created and are NOT on my master category
list. In some cases we share the same categories but have a different
priority and in other cases we have completely different catergories. When I
say different priority, we created the categories by putting a number in
front of it so they will appear in our inbox in the order of priority. I
would have thought that my rules/categories would over rule her
rules/categories. But the emails are being put into both categories. For
example, I have a category called 1Boss. All the emails from my 2 different
bosses go into this category. My boss has a category called 3LT where emails
from the same 2 individuals go. When I receive a copy of these emails they
are being put into both the 1Boss category and the 3LT category or just in
the 3LT category which is owned by my boss.
Any help with these 2 issues would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
