CATEGORIES/AUTOMATIC FORMATTING IN SHARED CALENDAR

T

Tree

I can either use a category or automatic formatting but I want the
appointments to be appropriately color coded based on the conditions I set in
the Shared Calendar I've created.
The colors show up in on my computer in the shared calendar, but not in
anyone else's..
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Create a custom view and select the option 'this folder, for everyone' -
click modify and add automatic formatting rules. If you have the view
already made, copy it and make it for 'this folder, everyone'.
You do this through the define views dialog - see
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/viewmenu.htm if you need help finding
it.

Are they applying the view? Are you using color categories or applying
colors using automatic formatting?

color categories are per user - they need to set up their own colors for
categories. Automatic formatting is in the view.

I'm in the same situation. I am using Automatic Formatting but I can't seem
to get mine to work either. I see the formatting but when anyone else looks
at it on their machine, they don't see it.

I did look at the article that was posted earlier but can't seem to follow
what I need to do.

Thanks,
Christine
