Categories for Contacts

I cannot view the master category list. If i click on a contact, i see the
colored catergoires (red category, blue category) but i cannot click on a
category that was already creted by someone else in the office. How do i
view the master category list?

What Outlook version do you use, and are you connected to an Exchange
server?
