Categories in Outlook 2007

I'm trying to figure out how export a custom list of Categories to other users.
The article ID 297405 explains the process but only applies to earlier
versions of Outlook. Can anyone tell me where the Categories are stored in
Outlook 2007? Are they still located in the Registry?

Outlook 2007 does not use the registry. See this:

The categories now are stored in your default store (either a PST file or
mailbox on the Exchange server). For exporting/importing the Master Category
List including the colors you might use Category Manager. For more details
