Categories & template thumbnails don't re-display in Task Pane

In Visio 2002, the categories and template thumbnails for the selected category would display in the "Choose Drawing Type" window when "View->Task Pane" was selected from the menu bar. In Visio 2003, these display when Visio opens, but not after working in a drawing and then re-displaying the Task Pane. Does anyone know how to get the "Choose Drawing Type" window and its contents to display again in Visio 2003, or is this a bug?

This was intentional. Once you started working on a drawing, we didn't want
to cover up your work with the window automatically. From the Getting
Started task pane, you can choose Create a New Drawing. This opens the New
Drawing task pane. Here there is an option to open the Choose Drawing Type
window.

You can always get the window directly from the File > New menu.
