Category Axis of Type Date

I noticed on groups.google.com a previous posting by "lest54" titled
"Timescale Axis". Thao Moua responded with a series of steps, but I'm of
the opinion that these steps only work with bound data and *not* with comma
seperated data. Can anyone else group with comma seperated data? I'm
assuming that the control isn't smart enough to change the axis type with
this sort of data since it won't be receiving type information from its
bound source (its all a string). If so, is there a known workaround other
than binding the data? I'd rather not since I'm receiving text input from a
third-party.

Can you provide some data you're working on? If I remembered correctly TimeScale only applies to the category when the data is a date format. When Chartspace is bounded to an external data, Chartspace will know whether the data is a date or not and will adjust accordingly. However, when Chartspace is bounded to literal data and the data is a date, Chartspace will give you the option of treating the data as a date or as a string.
